Lovebirds land chance to wed 500ft in the air!
Team Guinot have been scouring the UK and Ireland for a pair of daring lovebirds to take to the wings and receive an all-expenses paid wedding blessing in the skies; now their search for a high-flying couple is complete.
After receiving over a hundred applications the team narrowed down their search to a handful of heavenly finalists who were invited to the team's base in Gloucestershire for an interview with a difference.
Lucky lovebirds Darren McWalters and Katie Hodgson from Merseyside have been selected for this amazing opportunity. The advernturous couple, who have a keen interest in all things acrobatic, recently travelled to South America together and are over the moon to have landed this unique wedding celebration!
Darren, a fitness instructor, proposed to Katie, a post lady, whilst standing on the beautiful sandy beaches of Brazil. Now they are delighted to have landed a wedding which will top the romantic proposal.
The happy couple will be strapped to the top wing of the famous Guinot wingwalking bi-planes before taking to the skies for the wedding blessing of a lifetime. Friends and family will watch the airborne ceremony from the team's beautiful First World War airfield in the heart of the lovely Cotswolds, before enjoying a sumptuous wedding breakfast laid on by Team Guinot.
Guinot are preparing the lovebirds for their special day with regular skincare treaments at their local Guinot salon, the Roz Tranfield Beauty Centre in Wallasey, ensuring the happy couple look wonderful while literally feeling on cloud nine. The couple started their monthly Hydradermie facials at the Crown salon in March and Darren is thrilled with the results already. "My skin has never felt so clear and revitalised, I left the room floating," he said, "I am looking forward to my monthly appointments almost as much as the big day itself!".
Having completed a wing-walk herself, Roz knows the extreme conditions the couple will face while saying their vows at 100mph. "It is essential that Darren and Katie's skin is healthy and hydrated for their airborne blessing. It is wonderful to know we are helping them look and feel on cloud nine!".
