Guinot history
Guinot began in the early 1960s with the establishment of L'Institut Guinot by French biochemist René Guinot. Married to an aesthetician, he made it his mission to develop the best possible treatments and products for her beauty salon; the world famous Cathiodermie facial was the result - the first treatment to use galvanic current to deep-cleanse the skin.
The Cathiodermie facial has evolved, being re-branded as Hydradermie in the UK and Ireland in 2000. This unrivalled treatment uses galvanic and high-frequency electrotherapy to deep-cleanse and regenerate the skin.
Since 1972 Guinot Paris has been under the direction of pharmacologist Dr Jean-Daniel Mondin who continues to develop the Guinot range of products and treatments maintaining Guinot's position at the forefront of professional skincare innovation.
